Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB® is operated by Sport Authority of Thailand, a state enterprise under supervision of Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The event is aimed for the highest standard international trail running event.

Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB® is part of UTMB® World Series, the collaboration of UTMB® Group, a major player in trail running, and IRONMAN® Group, the largest operator of mass participation sports in the world.

Trail runners from around the world collect “RUNNING STONES” by participating races of the UTMB® World Series circuit, including Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB®, to be able to participate the FINAL UTMB® races in France.

In 2024, Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB® was announced to be UTMB® World Series – Asia Pacific Major, only one in each continent. Finishers from the “Major” event will earn double running stones.
